AEG Welcomes Julie Larson as VP of AE Ventures

Julie A. Larson has joined American Enterprise Group (AEG) as Vice President of AE Ventures, AEG’s venture capital company. In this role, Larson will lead AEG’s innovation initiatives, including capital investments, pilot programs, and the incubation of new business ideas and market opportunities. She will also manage the AE Ventures team, which includes Julie Pearce, Director of Innovation Solutions, and Chad Zelle, Technical Lead.

We are excited to have her on the AEG team and leading our innovation efforts.”
Prior to joining AEG, Larson was Vice President, Information Technology Application and Information Systems Director at EMC Insurance in Des Moines. She spent 35 years in various IT-related roles at EMC, where she effectively identified, strategized, communicated, and executed short- and long-term tactical roadmaps by establishing new systems, building versatile teams, and implementing best practices across multiple areas.

A Des Moines native, Larson earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing with a minor in Computer Information Systems from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. She holds several certifications from The Institutes, including Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Personal Insurance, and Associate in Management. Active in her community and profession, she has held several leadership positions, including President of the Property Liability Association of New Systems, Area Governor of Toastmasters International with a Distinguished Toastmasters certification, President of the Waukee Vocal Boosters Club, and a current member of both the CPCU Society and the CIO Forum.
